Sailing ships have always fascinated me. The old sailing ships were so magnificent to look at and are quite enjoyable to paint. Catching the interaction of the wind and seas with the wooden hulls and the cloth sails using oil paints on canvas is pure painting pleasure. It is a tradition with artists that goes back several centuries. I’m proud to be a part of that tradition.
